“Aren’t they hanging up?” he asks still not paying attention to anything but the monkey and not caring that we have to leave for school in the next 2.5 minutes. 
For the next 2.0 minutes, I race around trying to find his backpack and leave the house frustrated and late. I quickly jot down a note on a piece of torn envelope to Adam’s teacher that he doesn’t have his backpack or his homework. Adam is crying because he has no backpack and “I’m going to get in trouble MOM”. 

Turns out that Adam had left his backpack in the schoolyard when he was playing. And thanks to Lovable Labels, the teacher who found it brought it to the school office for Adam when he got to school.
